Workshops & Consultations
Any First Nation can request Charitable Gaming
Workshops in their communities.
Community Liaison Officers are available to
provide information to charitable organizations,
individuals or groups who wish to know more
information about or wanting to participate in
charitable gaming. These workshops are designed to
share information pertaining to charitable gaming.
These workshops consist of information sharing
regarding section 207 of the Criminal Code
of Canada, IGR's policy on Eligibility & Use Of
Proceeds criteria for charitable
organizations. IGR staff are available to assist
groups or charitable organizations wishing to
establish themselves through the step by step
licensing application process.
IGR staff has delivered numerous First Nations Consultations and Charitable Gaming Workshops. We will continue to make ourselves available to those communities requesting information about licensing and regulation of charitable gaming.
