Chief Dwayne Paul of One Arrow is the representative for the Saskatoon Tribal Council. Chief Paul received his education at One Arrow, Wakaw and Duck Lake before going on to post-secondary training in Childcare, UEP and Commerce at Sunchild Community College, and the Universities of Regina and Saskatchewan. He has served his community as a recreation director and then guidance counsellor as well as in the elected positions of Councilor and Chief. Chief Paul believes that: “IGR is an entity that shows people First Nations are able to handle our own affairs in a trustworthy manner. This is a step towards self-government and full jurisdiction.” Chief Paul’s personal interests include hockey, hunting and slo-pitch.
