Departments

The following is a summary of IGR's divisions and their roles within the organization.

President and CEO's Office
The President/CEO provides organizational leadership and strategic direction to the staff and management of IGR. Under the guidance of the Board of Directors, the President and CEO determines best organizational practices to carry out the mandate of IGR. The President and CEO is ultimately responsible for all business and operational decisions for the organization. The President and CEO and the two Vice Presidents constitute Senior Management within IGR.

Licensing and Communications
This division is the responsibility of the Vice President of Licensing and Communications and is comprised of two departments. To date Licensing has concentrated on the building of the required licensing administration processes and policies. It is vital to the success of the organization that IGR's licensing processes be well established. In doing this, it is the department's objective to ensure that the process for First Nations' charities applying for licenses will be as quick and efficient as possible. Licensing staff will be available to assist the First Nations' charities with their applications and provide all of the necessary information.

In the previous two years, IGR's Communications department has been of particular importance to the operations of the organization. Since the Corporate name and logo change, IGR has made efforts to increase our presence in the communities and provide information regarding charitable gaming regulation at every opportunity. In addition to providing information, an equally important goal has been to enhance IGR's corporate image and increase corporate recognition. As IGR prepares to assume a very important role in First Nations' charitable gaming, we wish to assure the First Nations public that IGR is a credible organization intent on assisting in maintaining the integrity of First Nations' charitable gaming.

Meaning: Shooting for something in motion

By: Richard McKay

Each player shoots until he/she misses three times when a player's turn is over. The earned points are totaled and the game is passed to the next player.
The winner is the first player to reach the exact winning score. (Example: 100 points) If a player counts over the winning score, he/she must start over from zero.
